This binding uses wood boards trimmed to the exact height and width of the text block. No paste or glue is used in its construction. The decorative chain stitch is the only structural component of the book. In this workshop we will do some minor wood working to prepare our cover boards, fold several sections of text weight paper and learn to sew a book using the Ethiopian Coptic method.
